It is February, and I am done with winter come Jan. 1. By February the snow, ice, and cold make winter practically unbearable. At least we do get bright sunny days even though it is a frosty 23 degrees F.
As I look up out of my frosty New England day the news scales from the horrible earthquake in New Zealand, upheaval in the middle east, sailors who thought God would protect them from evil pirates and lost, to a new hairdo for Jennifer Anniston (do we care about her hairdo?).
I listen to all kinds of news. News about teachers and public workers who believe they have rights that go beyond that of the average worker in the US. Seems someone forgot to teach basic economics. Who pays for their medical and retirement? BTW, if I falsely took five days off work that caused my business to halt, I would be fired. There are plenty of teachers and public work folks looking for work...
Anyway, I look forward to the thaw. I look forward to a better day, and better news...
